I think that the RIS itself is a great buy. Maybe they are trying to make up
for it with the expansion sets.
Also, I'd be interested to see how much they feel that the software is
worth. I haven't used the RIS software since the first night I had it. So,
the software in the expansion packs has no value to me. If I expected to use
it a lot, maybe $50 would sound more reasonable.
And don't forget that there are plenty of cheaper, non-MindStorms sets out
there!
