Hello all,
I've just phoned the Lego consumer service Benelux (the one responsible for
Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxemburg), and they had some bad news for me.
I asked them for the availability of some Service Packs, and here are my
findings:
5099: pneumatic valve +/-1000 pieces in stock
5116: small pneum. piston 580
5117: peum.compressor pump 540
5251 shock absorbers small 330
5278: chainlinks sold out
So you see, dutch and belgian folks, don't try to order the chainlinks: they
have all found a happy new owner. For the other service packs, you can
still order them, but you have to check out if they are still available. No
new service packs will be delivered until september.
The new service packs (special series; not in amount of produced bags, but
in pieces included: less variety, I think) will be available in september,
and the two expansion sets (the Mars set and the accessory set) also won't
be here before then (those were scheduled for March, but have been
backordered because of problems with the naming, they told me). The new
service packs will include many Technic parts, but the folks at the Lego
consumer service couldn't tell me more, because they don't know anything
more about the service packs. In the new catalogue of september, the
service pages will be included again.
This is what I heard, folks ...

PS: I can only assure these things for the Benelux; other people might get
other information from their local consumer service.

| For people in the US: Pitsco-Lego-Dacta has small chain links at $6.50 for 108 pieces (part #D779937) while Lego S@H has them at $4.00 for 35 (#5278). That's 6.0 cents per piece versus 11.4 cents per piece. I don't know what their inventory is, but (...) (25 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics)

| Howdy all, For those that don't live in the USA and thus are not able to order from Pitsco-LEGO Dacta I can play middleman. I've done this in the past for others and don't mind doing this. If there is something that you'd like to order from Dacta, (...) (25 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics)
