The down side of the X10 camera is that you still need to provide the
sending unit with AC power. I contacted them after buying two and asked
about batteries. Their response was that the cameras were not designed
for battery power and it would void the warranty. Other than that, the
camera transmits wirelessly very well.

<Whatever!>

  That's what they say whenever they don't understand what you are talking about
(which is almost all of the time.)  Their AC adapters put out 12VDC.  Fine.  You
will need to supply 12VDC, but they just MIGHT work on 9VDC, and undervoltage
never hurt anything of this nature.  Just make sure you get the power polarity
correct, it ain't a LEGO product and it isn't guarded against it!

have fun,

I integrated a 9v Lego Power Pack with the earlier X10 model and it worked ok. The video was a bit dim. Check it out at (URL) Thompson (URL) Message----- From: news-gateway@lugnet.com [mailto:news-gateway...net.com]On Behalf Of Dennis Clark Sent: (...) (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)
