Hi, Mike,
Seems your posting got sort of cut off. I'm sure you have more to say.
As it takes up 2 RCX output ports to control one cylinder,  you will run out of
output ports for a mobile robot. So that's a point down for the Fischer technik
implementation.

(...) How about using a diode in each wire, (assuming single acting solenoid), then connecting both to one output. One opens when power is one direction, the other one opens on the other direction (reversed polarity). James P (25 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Folks, I finally received my advanced pneumatics set from Dacta and have integrated the fishertechnik valves into the sliding door model. Not surprisingly all worked well in the initial test which can be seen at: (URL) I must say that I was somewhat (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)
