  Re: Cybermaster & Light sensor

Hi Folks, I've just come to the same conclusion as Eric on this one. My previous tests were for the powered mode. The passive mode seems to work fine (though ut does seem to require a resonably bright light source). Guess which mode I wanted to use (...) (26 years ago, 3-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

Another question would be: Which sensors require power to operate? Only the light sensor (in active mode), or other sensors as well? How about the angle sensor? Does it require power to operate? Or the temperature sensor? Fredrik (26 years ago, 3-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

The rotation sensor is powered also. (...) (26 years ago, 3-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Cybermaster & Light sensor

(...) My latest tests indicate that SensorType() does not exist with CyberMaster. I think the main function of SensorType() is to switch external power on/off depending the sensor type. Since this function seems to not exist, it is not possible give (...) (26 years ago, 3-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Cybermaster & Light sensor

Anyone know how the sensors are sampled? Would it be possible to power the sensor from the third motor drive output and synchronise turning off the power just before the sensor is actually sampled? Just a thought... Andy (26 years ago, 3-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) See (URL) for details on how the RCXsensors are sampled. I don't think you could recreate the RCX function because you probably don't have anyway to know when a Cybermaster is going to sample it's input. (26 years ago, 4-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)
