Magnets work fine to pick up a Canadian quarter, but not American ones.

Well, thats easy to solve:  Ask one of us to go to the bank and get you a roll
of quarters that are magnetic :)

There, a silly, off-handed comment on my part spawns an interesting discussion.

Hands up all those that actually knew Canadian quarters were
magnetic and American quarters are not!

I don't know if I should apologize or look smug. Since I'm Canadian, I'll
just apologize.

Actually, this is not as OT as it seems. My old Fischer-Technik set had an
electromagnet, maybe this would be a fun homemade actuator for the RCX?
