Does anybody know if there are some electrical controlled pneumatic valves (magnetic valves) aviable for Lego that can be controlled trough a RCX unit (9v DC)? In general, I don't know how to use the list of inventions on mindstorms.lego.com. All I get is the idea that yeah someone did this and that. No discussions on the issues: how it was done, problems solved, etc, no details. I guess for that you have (...) (23 years ago, 23-Nov-02, to lugnet.robotics)

All this talk of articulation points reminds me of an actual splined robot. Basically, it was a series of convex circles through which ran a series of wires, with a space in the middle for a spray hose or pressure cleaning equipment to pass through. (...) (...) Good idea! I was thinking more in terms of bumpers but taillights and forward pointing light sensors is much better. (...) Inkjet plotters are should be pretty common in mechanical enginnering firms these days. Colleges may also have them. The billboard and sign industry uses huge paint plotters, but those are much more expensive to run than inkjet plotters (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-02, to lugnet.robotics)
