I just installed BrickOS using the install docs for windows (via cygwin). Work fine first try. Took a long time tho since I was lazy and install everything in cygwin rather than picking through and only taking what was required for BrickOS. (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-02, to lugnet.robotics)

I was perusing the "The Screen Savers" website ((URL) and came across a reference to a "Lego Segway" in the production notes for 11/15/02. (...) No, it does not install BrickOS, Cygwin, the Hitachi H8 cross-compiler tool chain, my Pascal support for BrickOS, or my pre-built Hitachi H8 GNU Pascal compiler. I am working on a simple set of instructions (a modified version of what is on (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-02, to lugnet.robotics)

I'm pleased to announce the release of BricxCC version 3.3.6.5. New in this release is initial support for BrickOS using GNU C, C++, and Pascal. These three languages are syntax highlighted. I received a link to an Orthoglide site. There is a movie of the Orthoglide machine mockup in action. Very impressive. I wish my Lego version had worked so well. The QuickTime movie is 23Meg. (...) I think Soh's previous tests showed that motorizing the large hand "pumps" (compressors) provided no extra benefit over the small pumps. This is probably my favorite Lego-related website out there. :) Great article there too; I need to try that pressure test sometime.
