  RE: lasers and RCX

Yes, I remember. I did save a search on Laser PEN's on eBay because of that :) I planned to use video image analysis (er... machine/robotic vision) to keep track of (and measure) the reflection of laser line on objects. I say LINE and not DOT (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  lasers and RCX

Years ago, there was a thread about hooking up lasers to the RCX and using then for signaling and proximity sensing. Aside from the dire warnings (Don't blind the cat!), does anybody remember this thread? I've recently come into ownership of a few (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: Robotic Vision (was: Video image analisys)

Hi :) (recovering a "very" old lugnet.robotics thread about Robotic Vision software for Mindstorms, predating the release of LEGO Vision Command) I'm assuming that you're the same psksvp that made the Robotic Vision dll's at (URL) making a search on (...)   The Brick Testament

Hi all, I know this is not really related to Mindstorms, but it¹s such a beautiful piece of work. And as a devoted Lego fan, it can¹t be ignored. Freshen up your Bible skills: www.thereverend.com/...testament/ Enjoy! Tormod (23 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Request for designs

"Dean Hystad" <dhystad@mn.rr.com> wrote in message news:Gx64G3.6yw@lugnet.com... (...) I have a design for a simple Nagata-style overlapping footprint walker that uses a differential to make it walk faster. I know walkers are not primary topics, (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Request for designs

Dean Thanks for the description of your course. I sure hope your students are up to it - there's a lot there for anyone to learn. Presumably they'll all be mechanically competent, just unused to Lego. I can think of several friends who, after your (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: bug in setting lnp host address?

you'll probably hate me for being a nitpicker.... (...) technically, you should not do any bitshifting at all. There is always the odd case when someone decides to be clever and have a hostmask with interleaved zeros. for example, a hostmask of (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Request for designs

(...) Thanks. Let's hope it's great though it is probably a little of both. (...) Absolutely! Feel free to use what you want. Gus (23 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)
