RE: Wot no RCX power connector?

(...) Hmmm, see those big hols at the bottom of the board? Add the three little holes above those? And the big cap in there? I'll bet we could solder a power connector in there if we had to. It almost looks like the holes are for a different kind of (...) (26 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Wot no RCX power connector?

(...) Nice :) Could the old RCX beep? - I can't find the speaker on the old board.. regards Jesper (26 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Wot no RCX power connector?

I was wondering about the speaker as well. The old RCX definitely can beep, and make a whole host of other sounds. Not being an electronics engineer, I'm was uncertain of my ability to identify the speaker on the 1.0 board. It's not the thing that's (...) (26 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  RE: Palm Pilot Control

Yello... this is my first post. I program the GBC. I actually have developed some code to interface to the Mindstorms. See my websites: www.gbdev.org www.gbdev.org/dpstuff If anyone needs/wants me to test anything, I'd be glad too. (If you know C, (...) (26 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Palm Pilot Control

Though it is not nearly as versatile as programing your own RCX/Palm communication interface, there is a program for the Palm (with IR) called OmniRemote. It will let you control the RCX with the Palm TODAY so you can see if you like the idea. I (...) (26 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  for loop stack overflow

THis may be a dumb question on my part, but we are getting stack overflows on for loops such as for(int i = 0;i<1000;i++){...} when using values over 100 or so. Is this an 8bit counter thing or something else? Thanks, Owen Popplestone (26 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Position Finding/Mapping Update

I have now constructed the robot and am beginning to program it. I have no way of getting pictures(yet), so I will get them when I can. If you want more information on the design of the robot, email me at gombos@ne.infi.net Andy (26 years ago, 21-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Doug Wrote: (...) SNIP (...) SNIP I was thinking about this last night. It would be very easy to build a dummy battery, using a 7809 voltage regulator, diode bridge on the input, and a shell to put it in. My stumbling block last night was finding (...)   Re: Please I need help!

(...) I saw a contributed design a while back (on the HB web site, I think) of a multiplexer for running multiple Polaroid transducers off of one Polaroid ranging module. It involved the use of a few transistors and such. The idea was to use extra (...) (26 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
