  Re: Creator is here!

the studios cameraman and director have printed fronts and backs... also, the zidane fig from the soccer sets had a printed back if i recall. (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Creator is here!

(...) RES-Q, Extreme Team, and C-3P0 mini-figures have printed backs. I think Stormtroopers might too, but I don't have any. (23 years ago, 31-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Creator is here!

(...) You won't be pleasantly surprised at all. I saw most of the Creator sets in London a month ago and the one with the transparent bricks had around 4-6 1x2 bricks in like three colors. Nothing at all rare :( I did pick up the Race of the Year (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Creator is here!

(...) ZB didn't send me a coupon this time. Maybe it's lost in the mail. When does it expire? (...) No sign of 4172? or any of the smaller sets? (...) So this makes them Mickey Mouse size? If this is the case then the freestyle door unit is the (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Creator is here!

(...) Yes, especially if you can use the Zany Brainy $5 coupon on it. Man, just browsing through the idea book, it's got tons of nifty little ideas. I think they may have a winner with this series. Frank (23 years ago, 31-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Creator is here!

The racing set looks like it has a lot of great parts for a reasonable price! Frank Filz <ffilz@mindspring.com> wrote in message news:3AC5595F.B9812A...ing.com... (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.reviews)

  Creator is here!

I went by Zany Brainy (in Raleigh NC) tonight to use my $5 off a $20 purchase coupon. Wondering what I would buy, I found two Creator sets, 4175 Adventures With Max and Tina, $19.99, 220 pcs, 2 Creator figs; and 4176 The Race of the Year, $24.99, (...)   Re: 7317 Aero Tube Hangar

(...) Yeah, but the minifigs still won't be able to go through the tubes. :( Steve (23 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: 7317 Aero Tube Hangar

I just built this set too and i must say i found it quite good to look at and use. I found the sleds stuck at the joints as well, but realised it was because the tube that moves on the slides, was slightly off centre. Straighten it up and they move (...)   7317 Aero Tube Hangar

I don't know if any of you have laid hands on these, but they are now plentiful in sunny SoCal. So here's my review (1-10 grading scale) of a just completed 7317 LoM set: <Attractiveness (or reason I cared to get one)> -9- This set reminded me of (...) (23 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: Alpha Team Sets: Grand Admiral's Review

Good review Mark! (...) --Snip some stuff-- (...) WOW! I can definitely see myself getting 6 or more of these sets, the parts seem awesome. I can already picture a use for each of them... ;-) (...) Looks pretty weird to me, but the parts are (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.reviews)

Re: Alpha Team Sets: Grand Admiral's Review

(...) Too bad they weren't trans red (or at least the ones in the base).... (...) While it may not be real necessary for this model, I like the 2x2 click hinge piece since it centers the hinge between two studs, and given the number of click hinges (...)   Re: Alpha Team Sets: Grand Admiral's Review

(Xposted to .reviews, sorry) Good afternoon, folks. Today on Grand Admiral's Review, I will be talking about the Alpha Team Sets 6771, 6772, and 6774. And now a word from our sponsor... ---...--- Buy buy buy!!! (URL) buy buy!!! Hooray Materialism! (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: LEGO Writing System Pens

(...) Ah, but I plan to use the parts in my LEGO creations. That's one of the reasons I got the pens. Things like the pens are also I think primarily targetted at the LEGOLAND gift shop, but hey, they might as well sell them from S@H also. (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: LEGO Writing System Pens

(...) Like the completely blank book with a Harry Potter cover that costs $12.99? That was silly. I don't buy 'related'merchadise', I think the money would be better spent on building toys. A weird pen that costs more than a T-3 Trike or another (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: LEGO Writing System Pens

(...) Because their an evil marketting machine out to get our money.... (ok, perhaps that was uncalled for...) Seriously? Because the well know that dedicated fans will buy all sorts of related merchandise (did you notice how much Harry Potter stuff (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: LEGO Writing System Pens

(...) Okay, I guess that makes sense, except why is the LEGO Group making pens, and why do the pens have mini-heads on them???...??? (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: LEGO Writing System Pens

(...) Several reasons: - a normal head doesn't have a rod hole - the rod hole in the pen pieces is rod diameter the whole thickness of the brick, which makes for a sturdier pen - the pen pieces are not exactly LEGO dimensions (which I actually think (...)   Re: LEGO Writing System Pens

(...) What is the purpose of these? Why not just use normal heads? (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.reviews)
