I have never tried this, I only assumed it worked.  That SUCKS.  Generally, I
have found the Studios software very buggy.  I have had luck importing sounds,
but never the overlays.

The worst part is I got no answer from the tech support when I called or from
the email I wrote.  The only fix the guy on the phone gave me was to do what I
had already done and that was not the fix I wanted.

You must focus with the manual focus (the yellow) ring on the camera.  There • is
absolutely no other way to do this.

This is the only good reply I got back from their tech support today.  I never
bothered trying to turn that little yellow band around. :/  duh.

I'll tell you why.  It's a BIG F%#KING LIE. :)

AMEN.  I have been going on about that for some time.  The email I received
today went on about how my video would come out so much better if I used the
correct lighting...yadda yadda yadda.  They never answered me about why we
could not save as MOV or AVI if we wished to do so.

It's terribly false advertising, so be warned anyone who is thinking of buying
it.  And, FYI, you CANNOT change the resolution of the camera and use it with
the Studios software.

I wonder if Mr. Spielberg knows what he has gotten into with attaching his name
on this product?  I am glad he is donating all the profits he makes to his
charities but it can still make him look bad indorsing something that looks
like one big lie.

OK This is not the best thing out there but for some people STUDIOS is just fine. I dont think that LEGO intended for adults to by as many of these as we all did. You must remind your self that this is a first run program. There will be updates to (...) (23 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.general)

(...) I can't respond to the main thrust of this thread, but I do want to share my family's experience with tech support. My sons got LEGO Studio for Christmas. They installed the software on our Win98 machine. It kept GPF'ing. On Dec 27 (with a (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-01, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.general)
