Re: 4x2ReVu: B-wing (slightly off topic)

(...) Yuck. I don't consider the X-wing series because it's a game, and most games change things to make them easier to program or more exciting. For instance: 1) You couldn't rotate the B-Wing's fuselage in the game. 2) A-Wings do not have (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

Re: 4x2ReVu: B-wing (slightly off topic)

(...) In the X-Wing series, it had 3 ion cannons and 3 blasters (which where always changing places on the wings and cockpit, IMHO XWA had the best configuration). If you look at the official LEGO B-Wing, on each wing there is the large standard (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

(...) I'll see what I do! I'll try to make a second cockpit for my B-Wing (see the dat file here: (URL)) to hold two 'figs! Jeff (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Android vs. Droid vs. Automaton (Re: 4x2ReVu: 7141 Naboo Fighter)

Isn't "Astromech" a _type_ of Droid? (as "pickup" is a type of truck, though sometimes used as a noun itself) Interesting curiosity; "Red" - the R2 with a bad motivator that Owen first purchased - is referred to in the script I've got as an (...)   4x2ReVu: B-wing at Rebel Control Center

The war ended more than a year ago. Ceremonies were held, medals were awarded and most of the men went home to their families, but not Aram Andrus. Sole survivor of a hundred skirmishes, he saw too many friends die at the hands of the Imperials to (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

Android vs. Droid vs. Automaton (Re: 4x2ReVu: 7141 Naboo Fighter)

(...) The problem I see with using these terms is that Webster's Dictionary defines android as "having human features" (which the R2 units definitely do not have). Consequently, one couldn't use the 'droid term either because it is just a (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 7141 Naboo Fighter

(...) John is most certainly right. In the novelization that I just finished reading, it was spelled with an apostrophe ('droids). Since this was written by Lucas himself, I'd have to imagine that it appeared that way in the script also. -Jonathan (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 7141 Naboo Fighter

(...) It's two things in one: The proton torpedo launcher (hence the blue cone), plus something to make the ship stand higher when on the ground (kinda looks like it's floating, like in the movie). (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 7141 Naboo Fighter

Um, R2-D2 is called a DROID though, right? And what is DROID short for? ANDROID. I think in the original script or somewhere R2 and C-3PO were called 'droids. Now, they've dropped the apostrophe. -John (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)
