  Re: Shop at home?

(...) Well, you're probably _supposed_ to pay sales tax. If you don't though, that's between you and your state's tax collectors. :) (26 years ago, 22-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

(...) ... and let's not forget - no sales tax... so you don't get that bad of a deal, and the service is usually friendly:) Pawel (URL) Posted via the LUGNET discussion group web interface ======== (URL) Search, Read, Post, or Watch Traffic (26 years ago, 21-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Shop at home?

(...) It's Lego's direct phone-shopping service. You can order any of the current sets + a few exclusives + sometimes they have old random stuff. For the first part of each calendar year, they offer weekly specials -- usually 50% off selected sets. (...) (26 years ago, 21-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Shop at home?

I apologize for this being a bit off topic, but I'm uncertain what group I should post this to. I have heard vague references to "Lego Shop at Home" - would someone be so kind as to tell me what this exactly is? Also... if this is a way to purchase (...)   Re: Arhcive of Reviews

(...) There is the rec.toys.lego LEGO Set Review Archive: (URL) the ADEQUATE.com Set Reviews: (URL) Dan Jezek had/has a bunch of reviews up somewhere, but I can't seem to find them. --Todd (26 years ago, 21-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Arhcive of Reviews

So, until database driven Lugnet exists, where do I go to look for reviews? Are there normally lots or are they few and far between. Has much been done to have folks go back and "review" old sets so that folks considering auction/buy/trades get some (...) (26 years ago, 21-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Review 6047 Traitor Transport

(...) I don't think it is worth $10. It was a great buy for parts at $5, a good buy at $6.04, but not worth $10. And definitely a ripoff at $20. (...) Castle is my main theme, and I only see it as a parts source. (26 years ago, 17-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Review 6047 Traitor Transport

(...) Note the # of pieces for the price. <snipped an enthusiastic, well written review> This review caused me to take another look at one of my copies, and I still don't see it as worth 20, even with the plastic dragon nest. Good source for parts, (...) (26 years ago, 17-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: 3722 - Adventurers

(...) Oh, I should have answered the question as well. I'd be interested in the green chairs, the yellow birds, and the long gray and dark gray bricks, and the tiles (non-decorated). (26 years ago, 10-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: 3722 - Adventurers

(...) All that in addition to having the two 20% off coupons inside. (26 years ago, 10-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  3722 - Adventurers

I'm just curious? Isn't this one of the best purchases around? The set has a 1.5 coffins (this sounds weird... whoa...), 3 figs, tons of animals and a lot of other great pieces... if it only had the Mummy - man. BTW - I might pick up a few of those (...)   Re: Set Inventory Question

(...) <snip> (...) Just cuz no one else said it, yes it is the wrong forum. That's quite all right though. :) lugnet.general or lugnet.cad would be better. But don't forget to post a review here if you do one! :) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: Set Review 6553 Crisis News Crew

(...) It's a fine line, but IMO I think it's okay if review discussion occurs here. In a sense, it's a review of a review. Yet I do think that each review should be the beginning of a thread so everyone knows where to start. (...) Hmm, good luck. (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Set Inventory Question

You can also use the following techniques for tracking down part numbers: 1) Look at previously submitted inventories. 2) Install LDraw and all of the official parts releases. Use makelist to generate a parts catalog. 3) To help you with the whole (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Theme Review

(...) Hmm, right. After reading your post I cancelled the others too. I post a lot from work and it really gets in the way of common sense sometimes... ;-) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Set Inventory Question

There are several ways to find out part numbers. One is a parts reference page at: (URL) Another way is the LDraw parts list, which will at least give you known part numbers and descriptions for elements which have been created for LDraw. As a last (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)

  Set Inventory Question

Hi, If this is the wrong forum for this question, I'd be happy to redirect it, if you will give me some pointers on where it should go. After looking over the forums I knew about, this one seemed most appropriate for this question. If I made a bad (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.reviews)
