Over the weekend, I picked up set 4990 -- the Rock Raiders HQ. While lots of people complain about the Rock Raiders line being "juniorized" and having too many specialty pieces, I found the HQ to be far more pleasing than most of the other sets in (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.reviews)

I realize I am replying a little late to this but I recently picked up this set as all sets were on sale at my local Bradlees. Anyhow, I think I figured out why the Rock Monster has such a big span between his fingers and thumb. I used this to (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.underground)

(...) both (...) Well, IMHO, it was good. It gave me a new perspective on the sets, and made me rethink wanting to buy 5986. Especially for the price - I mean, I saw it for $80 - you got it for ~$49! I guess I should *at least* wait until after (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.reviews)
