Does anyone have the 8479 bar code truck?

Has no one done a revue on the bar code multiset truck? Its a pretty pricey Technic kit, but it does look interesting. My questions: How many motors? Can the controller steer as well as drive? What triggers the "grabber" than can be used? Other (...) (25 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.reviews)

(...) sub-theme (...) dark (...) pre-printed (...) Hmmm. That's the opposite of what I thought. I like the 4970 Chrome crusher, but I don't like the Tunnel Transport. The Insectoids, to me, were not very cool. I got the 6969 Celestial Stinger for (...) (25 years ago, 21-Sep-99, to lugnet.space, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.underground)

  Re: My favorite Adventurer sets

(...) Agree wholeheartly! I have converted the biplane into a two-seater. Then I put a female skeleton (i.e., skeleton with a wig) into the front seat, to stage that gruesome scene from the English Patient. (I tried using a mummy instead of a (...) Joseph Gonzalez wrote (...) I have to disagree with you here, Joseph. The only thing I like about the Biwing Baron is the "rotary" engine ( a pity lego didn't make it actually rotate, though it's the work of only a minute or two to make it do so). (...) In lugnet.adventurers, Joseph Gonzalez writes: {{SNIP}} (...) Here I have a question NOT for the still pure of faith <grin>: Have you (or anyone) attempted 'surgery' via Dremel tool (or similar) to actually make a zepp out of this blimp? I make the (...)   My favorite Adventurer sets

I'm really enjoying the Adventurer's theme (though the '98 sets are considerably better than the '99 sets in my opinion). Here are the top models (again in my opinion): 5909 - Treasure Raiders Really just a minifig pack but the biplane and car are (...) (25 years ago, 21-Sep-99, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.reviews)

Insectoids - better than I thought, Rock Raiders - disappointment

I had only bought the 6909-Sonic Stinger but just picked up the 6919-Planetary Prowler (at a discount price) and I find myself liking the Insectoids sub-theme more than I thought I would. I'm seriously looking at picking up more of the sets on (...) (25 years ago, 21-Sep-99, to lugnet.space, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.underground)

  Re: Review: 8286 3-in-1 car

(...) Good review. You were right on in your assessment of the mechanicals and building of the set--it's not at all complicated mechanically, but it shows the builder a *lot* of different building techniques. Steve (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.reviews)

  Review of 'Classic Train'?

Does anyone have a review of this set? It's int he latest S@H catalog, and while I'm not really a trainhead, this one looks pretty cool. Comments? (I don't mind that it doesn't come with track or a speed regulator. I don't have the space to set it (...) (25 years ago, 19-Sep-99, to lugnet.reviews)

  Review: 8286 3-in-1 car

Ok here is my first post to Lugnet. It is the first technic set I get in 15 years and it is my first review, so please forgive me for any mistakes. :) Also I tend to be harsh when rating my LEGO sets. I haven't seen a LEGO set that I would call it (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.reviews)

Re: Reviews wanted for #6090 Royal Knights Castle

(...) Hm. I haven't gotten around to re-assembling that one to write a review of it yet. Maybe I'll do that this weekend, along with the Royal Drawbridge. From memory, though, the castle is fairly nice. Some interesting large wall segments (6x6x6 (...) (25 years ago, 4-Sep-99, to lugnet.reviews)
