  Re: 4920 Rapid Rider Review

In lugnet.reviews, Frank Filz writes: <snip> (...) <snip> One nice feature of this part is that it doesn't have any tubes on the bottom to grip bricks. At first I thought this was a drawback until I realized you could use 1xn bricks/plates as rails (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jul-99, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Rock Raiders: 4940, 4950

(...) Oh dear, is he that bad? I was going to get one of those sets just to get that guy, so I could put him in a rocky cell in the caverns beneath my (currently nonexistant) castle. Maybe someone local will dislike him so much that I can trade for (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jul-99, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Rock Raiders: 4940, 4950

(...) (Actually I let roll out my throat a few times :O**** ) Faster than a speeding European pirate set cannonball... More powerful than an Airport Shuttle...   Re: Rock Raiders: 4940, 4950

I hereby nominate the following for (...) Cool lego word-coinage of the month. BURPMAN. Let it roll off your tongue a few times. Burp... burp.. BURPMAN.   Re: Rock Raiders: 4940, 4950

How could I forget my biggest gripes? 1) Both sets came with the same minifig. With so few sets in a theme you would think they would all be original. Its okay. One of those ugly guys is now a rebel pilot. 2) Dear Lego, *PLEASE* lose BURPMAN!!! What (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.reviews)

  Rock Raiders: 4940, 4950

Got these sets last night at TRU. They had all but the base 4990. The sets came with a catalog with SW E1 on the cover (I haven't seen this one yet). On to the sets... Main colors are grey/dark grey, which will go well with my space crafts. The (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.reviews)

  4560-4561 Gaaaaahh!

I just built my 4561 (4560 is the same set without the speed controller, not available in the US, so now I have 23 extra speed controllers instead of 22). I hate it. Heck, my kids hate it. I knew I would but didn't know how much. It's very (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.reviews)

Re: Fun with MindStorms Rotational Sensors

(...) Yes, I have a couple of them too and they give you so many possibilities... (...) I like this! My children would love a robotic pet to guide with a leash. I might enhance your system and detect the strenght applied to the leash to make the (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jun-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.robotics)

  Fun with MindStorms Rotational Sensors

First, I'd like to thank Hao-yang Wang for letting all of us know about the availability of rotational sensors. In case you missed it: >I saw both the rotation sensor (9756) and the temperature sensor (9755) at >www.legoworldshop.com last week. >( I (...)
