Re: 8226 Mud Masher - Mini Review

(...) Thanks for the reviews! I had actually purchased this set to get a couple of parts that I thought I would need for MindFest but didn't. (Two red angled Technic beams, in case you were wondering -- yes, color _is_ important.) I just built the (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.reviews)

Re: 8226 Mud Masher - Mini Review

(...) I was pretty impressed with 8226. Normally I don't expect much from the Tech-Play line - especially with such a small set - but I really liked the steering mechanism. Very clever. Dave (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 4559 Cargo Railway

(...) Correction the link above leads to a nice design for an AMT 2000 locomotive. The Genesis is taller and would probably look better with the tall club car design. - Jim ___ (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.trains, lugnet.space)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 4559 Cargo Railway

In lugnet.reviews, Joseph Gonzalez writes: <snip> (...) <snip> (...) <snip> (...) <snip> I agree! That is why I bought two of them. The kits can be used to make a reasonable "superliner like" passenger train. For the cars 4547 (club car) is a good (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.trains, lugnet.space)

  4x2ReVu: 5958 Mummy's Tomb

It sits at the very entrance to the Corridor of Kings, an almost nondescript tomb to a slave priest. Where other slaves were cast aside, this one was lifted to a high and prominent office for his cunning and ruthless powers. Now placed as sentinel (...)   4x2ReVu: 6042 Dungeon Hunters

The Vorgem Marshes have swallowed yet another group of victims! This time a small wagon carrying farm workers was found run off the county roadway, axle deep in the smelly swampland with nary a sole in sight. Clearly the Gobragee Beast still lives (...)   Re: 8226 Mud Masher - Mini Review

I just bought this set too. It is very cool. However, I didn't buy it for it's own sake, I wanted the ball joint and the steering parts(as you mention). I liked the fact that mine came with four rubber bands and the model only uses two. I took one (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.reviews)

  4x2ReVu: 4559 Cargo Railway

I'm including this one in lugnet.space because the set kind of fits in with a futuristic look. ---...--- Blacktron forces are among us! Subtly sneaking into the transportation industry, a new style of cargo train is appearing in train yards and (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.trains, lugnet.space)

8226 Mud Masher - Mini Review

Sorry for the non-standard review format... 8226 Mud Masher This is the firest new Technicn Kit I have bought in about a year. I think TLG is doiing something with the ABS - it seems almost translucent for some of the red bits. Overall, I like this (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.reviews)

  4x2ReVu: 6919 Planetary Prowler

Blood pounds fast in Xergos' veins. His exploratory trip was cut short by an encounter with Arachnean warriors in an enormous Tarantel tank.
