Right. Homestead may be great for making certain kinds of canned things
but it's not much for general purpose creation. Yahoo/Geo or Xoom may
give you more control. Depends on how much effort you want to put in.

Right now, you've got less than nothing, because a webpage with no
content tends to sour people and even when you DO have content, they
won't come back, so an announcement may have been premature.

Anyhoo, if you want to do pages with significant content you are going
to have to either learn HTML, or a page composition tool.

The one you get with Netscape Communicator is actually not at all bad.

But learning one of those things represents a time investment. Do you
want to make it? It won't come easy, but it is worth it when you're done
if you do good work. Your choice.

To your specific point, if I recall correctly, even if you have a saved
image you may be out of luck at that site. It's been a while since I
gave up on that provider so I could be wrong.

(...) even (...) stuff (...) You have a point there! I really don't want to sour people especially here on Lugnet! Maybe I should just give up on it. How do I cancel my account? Thanks for all the help! Blake (25 years ago, 24-Aug-99, to lugnet.publish)
