Perhaps because you didn't point followups to another group. That's
usually why.

But announce is only for (from the header of the group)

CHARTER/PURPOSE:

   lugnet.announce (group):
General-interest announcements to the community (breaking news
about
products, releases, contests, events, and sites, etc.); also,
important LUGNET information (new features, services, scheduled
      downtime, etc.).

... so a fan created website that did not have significant
newsworthiness (it makes available some important new resource or
information source) probably doesn't qualify for posting there.

Ask a more specific question than:

I have tried to add a lugnet button to my site but I'm having trouble.

and perhaps someone can be of assistance. What do you mean by that? What
sort of trouble are you having? what error message did you get,
specifically?

Homestead as a site does NOT make it easy to create pages containing
random HTML. I found the interface quite stifling.

As a general rule, when reporting trouble it's best to be as detailed
and specific as possible.

(...) Sorry, I ment that at homestead every thing is drag and drop, I could not even figure out how to import the button in the first place. I'm new to this stuff and I don't know much about it. (25 years ago, 24-Aug-99, to lugnet.publish)

Hi all I'd like to announce first web page @ www.homestead.com/ge...ocars/home . There's not much to see because it's still under construction since I have only had it for a day or so. I have tried to add a lugnet button to my site but I'm having (...) (25 years ago, 24-Aug-99, to lugnet.publish)
