And it still does ocassionally as my page is located in a "gay" neighborhood
(the only neighborhood where gay-related ad-banners display).  There are
several why reasons I haven't moved my page to another service:

1. I'm an "A-List" and a "Featured" site, so I get lots more space for free.

2. Geocities editor works very well, unless you have an HTML file that is very
long (I still edit my Lego Sets List and my Opera Review HTML files in
Notepad.

I *wish* I couldn't edit my Set List in Geocities; alas, it is
relatively short :)

3. FTPing is a breeze.

4. The recent addition of sub- and sub-sub-directories is great.

xoom.com also supports FTP transfers and subdirectories

5. And the newest reason - my Castle is going to be featured in the "Activity"
book for the upcoming Lego Create Software.  They are going to include a link
to my site (I may never move).

Wow... :)

That's nothing, Ed Boxer's page had a Geocities ad for
Gay Singles or something once.

I used to have my Lego web page at Geocities, but after trying to add a
Geoguide (in order to make the page meet Mike Stanley's (pat. pend.)
quality standard) I decided to move to xoom.com instead.  The Geoguide
was a big eyesore and detracted from my page (esp. after seeing an ad
for Kiss - death metal rock band).  Xoom doesn't require ads to be
placed on pages and actually seems to be faster than Geocities.
