For me, who reads LUGNet in e-mail form, the FTX enhancements can get quite confusing. I can live with the markup for italics, bold, underline, but when the computer commands for links and things are included, I begin to lose interest in someone's (...) (...) I'd like to see FTX special characters on message previews stripped. When viewing via the web interface, I see the special characters that create the formatted text.
