Hey Bruce,
I've noticed this same thing.  It seems to happen near the end of the month,
but on the 1st, it should be fine again. I host all my pictures on
brickshelf and deep link to them.

My theory is that ozbricks.net (note: not ozbricks.com) has a bandwidth
limit each month and this applies to all sites under ozbricks.net .  Nearing
the end of the month the limit is reached and ozbricks goes down until the
next month comes around.

The situation is actually kinda frustrating, it is the main reason why my
story hasn't had a update this month.. why work hard to get it done when i
won't be able to load it until the 1st.

Hi all,

I've noticed for the past week when I try to click on my site hosted by
Ozbricks I get a "Bandwidth limit exceeded" error.  I also see this same error
with Yaron Dori's Ozbricks links page, so I'm not sure if this is an issue of
my own personal site, or of Ozbricks in general.  Ikros and Andrastavia both
seem to be up.  Anyway, I have two questions:

1)  Is there some general issue with Ozbricks?  If so should I just wait for
them to fix it?

2)  If I were to move my pictures to brickshelf and only host the html files on
Ozbricks (the way Brendan does with the Brick Testament, or the way Sean does
with MOCpages), would this alleviate any demand on Ozbricks?

I know I've been slashdotted in the past which has led to spikes in Bandwidth
that caused Ozbricks some worries.  I don't see any recent posts on Slashdot on
my site, though.

Bruce

(...) I like that theory... all the 'older' sites, like Port Block and Ikros are hosted on the main Ozbricks server, while I guess they got a smaller ozbricks.net server to host newer websites. They don't host new sites anymore, too. I was getting (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.publish)
