Re: A fun effect for a web site...

It doesn't work in Mozilla, I already knew that (but forgot to tell you all ;-) ) but why it crashed your IE is a good question. It is very resource heavy so your computer may not have been powerful enough. I dunno. (...) (22 years ago, 28-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: A fun effect for a web site...

(...) Yes, that is what it is supposed to do... Make one logo split into 5, one staying stationary and 4 going outward in separate directions, and then the 4 extras fade away into nothiness. It is cool and fun, but that is it. (22 years ago, 28-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: MOCpages is here -- Free web hosting for LEGO creations

Bruce: (...) Glad you like it! Sorry I missed your questions the other day. I've been pretty busy lately, so I don't get to peruse the message boards as much as I would like. I'll answer your questions from the other thread here: (...) Go right (...) (22 years ago, 28-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: MOCpages is here -- Free web hosting for LEGO creations

Sean, It's looking great. I just went and uploaded a few things and the interface works really well. I asked a couple of questions the other day but they got buried, so rather than retype them, I'll just point to my previous post: (URL) (22 years ago, 28-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: MOCpages is here -- Free web hosting for LEGO creations

(...) As one of the beta testers for Sean, I can personally attest to the fact that this is an extremely cool and fantastic resource for AFOLs! I would encourage everyone who has images up on Brickshelf (or elsewhere) to get an MOCpage.com account (...) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: A fun effect for a web site...

(...) Does not work in my Mozilla either so I tried IE (and that's not common) and I got a major application error in IE so it shut down before I could see anything. So, to me, this is great code! Crash IE and let Mozilla users see a static (...) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) The graphic doesn't work in Mozilla (or at least in mine), but works fine in Explorer. It is very neato :) ~Kevin Blocksidge~ www.lugnet.com/~1763 (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

A fun effect for a web site...

Here is one of my web sites that has a cool effect which I'd like to share: (Disclaimer, the site is in development and the flame logo totally sucks against my custom background, so please disregard the disguting contrast and focus on the effect I (...)   Re: Website move

(...) I used to use lego.arnesson.nu (later www.arnesson.nu/lotek and now www.lotek.nu). I never received any complaints from TLC though. The change came after reading up a bit on TLC fairplay. And sorry Adrian but Dan is correct about the domain (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Website move

(...) The domain name is the fully qualified host name. If you need DNS to look it up, it's a domain name - the "host" in the RFC. That's what it's a "Domain Name Service" :) Anything after the / is part of the path, as defined in the HTTP RFC (...)   Re: Website move

(...) One thing: LEGO (that is, the company) commonly ask people to refrain from using their brand name in URLs, so you might want to try and think of a different URL for your site. Cheers, Paul (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish)

MOCpages questions for Sean or anyone

Sean (or anyone), I've just started clicking around MOCpages.com and am really impressed. I'm going to sign up for an account and play around with it. I had two questions: 1) Do you mind if I'm basically using it to advertise my own site? I've got (...) (22 years ago, 25-Mar-03, to lugnet.publish)
