Re: Emergency! Everyone, please read this.

(...) Lapse of brain functioning...didn't realize the domain was up for renewal. The notices were probably sent to the old email address and old snail-mail address from 1996 from when I signed up. Things were forwarding for a long time but I don't (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

Re: Emergency! Everyone, please read this.

(...) Well, long ago, it may have been, but everything that was LEGO-related (except for the backgrounds) eventually migrated to lugnet.com. And now that the backgrounds reside at a new home (URL) isn't much point in resurrecting anything at the old (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

  Ideas Pages Back Up!

I realized that since I moved my website, & transfered the ideas files to another folder, that none of my pages worked! So I went to work, and finnaly got them all back up: (URL) hope everyone who used my ideas page before reads this post, & is able (...)   Re: CBN broadcast Re: Castle World - The Gathering

(...) <snip> It's a method of bandwidth theft protection, I think. By coding to prevent embedded links (which the jump.cgi script probably counts as, I'm afraid) properly pulling up images, they are preventing joe schmoe from using pictures from a (...)   Re: RGB color values for many brick colors

(...) Hi. just wanted to note that I'm updating colors with Steve. My page may change soon, though not dramatically. -Suz (24 years ago, 15-Aug-01, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.trains, lugnet.faq, lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.cad)

Re: RGB color values for many brick colors

(...) Helpful, but if you could cross correlate to the LDraw colors and color values, (and to the ref that Suzanne put together that you reference, although I would use this link: (URL) instead of the one you give as it is annotated) that would be (...)   Re: RGB color values for many brick colors

Hey, thanks for that information. I was actually looking for that this week. You might want to post that under the reference section at Ldraw.org, as well. It might help some people trying to make renderings. Thx, Mike (...) (24 years ago, 15-Aug-01, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.trains, lugnet.faq, lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.cad)

Re: RGB color values for many brick colors

Hi All, I updated my element color palette. Thanks for all the fine comments. It's on our club web site www.pnltc.org under "Articles" There are some links at the bottom of the table that point to some nice reference material.   Confederation of Planets to begin major site overhaul

The Confederation of Planets webpage has had some problems. Cross links to old layouts and the current layout have forced me to shut the entire site down and revamp the entire thing. Thanks to the support of J. Irvine and his site layout, he ahs (...) (24 years ago, 14-Aug-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.cad, lugnet.build, lugnet.publish)

  Re: www.fibblesnork.com still active?

(...) Bummer. Well, these backgrounds are very useful to many. I've been getting a free ride from them for years. I would pitch in some cash to pay for hosting if it came to that as would others I suspect. (...) the content if you were ranking (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: www.fibblesnork.com still active?

(...) I mentioned this to Todd a few days ago. He thought his account may have been shut off. I haven't heard anything else. his personal site is also gone: (URL) to the FLGuide can be re-aimed at this duplicate: (URL) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: www.fibblesnork.com still active?

(...) Well, if indeed some of this content has gone offline, that's too bad, but understandable. Todd has been providing it to the community for years, at his own expense, and no one can expect a free thing to last forever. I'm just glad (and very (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: www.fibblesnork.com still active?

(...) Apparently lots has moved or gone off-line. A couple of weeks ago I made a post that the random set name generator, formerly at (URL) was no longer there, but didn't get any response. At that point, other Fibblesnork content was still active. (24 years ago, 3-Aug-01, to lugnet.publish)

  www.fibblesnork.com still active?

Part of the Fibblesnork(tm) site content (the set guide, the ratings, the info on auctions, the legal info, etc.) was moved to LUGNET(tm) a while back... I, and many others I am sure, use the Fibblesnork background images, in large part because (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Reliable Web Host

I use Xeran (www.xeran.com) for mine. From what I can tell, it seems to kick Pair's butt around the block when it comes to features/price. There's no bandwidth cap and it sounds like they could handle a couple of slashdots a day without breaking a (...) (24 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.publish)

  RE: Reliable Web Host

www.dellz.com is the cheapest I've found, especially for the options available. The support is quick, but they're still getting started so there have been some bumps along the way. I haven't been with them long enough to see how reliable they are. (...) (24 years ago, 31-Jul-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Reliable Web Host

(...) I checked out Pair.com and it looks pretty good. I think I can satisfy my requirements with their most basic service. There are so many webhosting companies out there, it's hard to choose. Thanks for the advice. T. J. (24 years ago, 31-Jul-01, to lugnet.publish)
