Tool for downloading set pictures from lego.com

If you're like me, you register every purchased set in your own collection database. And you'll augment each set record with a set picture downloaded from lego.com. To save some tedious work, I made a javascripted page, wich runs locally on my (...) (21 years ago, 29-Dec-03, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.general)

  Re: NEW WEBSITE : MINIFIGVILLE.COM

It's fully operational and you can already vote and write your comments about the first ever StudWars combat : JarJar/Timmy vs. Justin/Kelly : Who's worse? (...)   CONTEST : LEGO MOVIE POSTERS

Hello everyone! Last year, Créations Rotule had a LEGO Movie Poster contest which was a total success. Créations Rotule is no more, but it evolved into MinifigVille.com and there is a new contest, much like the previous one, starting...NOW ! Below (...)   NEW WEBSITE : MINIFIGVILLE.COM

Hello Everybody! Well, today's the day! The bid official launch of my new website. After dealing with mixed thoughts about continuing to maintain my old website (www.rotule.qc.ca, dead now) or upgrading it, I opted to creating a new and improved (...)   Re: MOCpages is down today - we were slashdotted

(...) Wow, congrats.... er... I'm sorry... I mean, good work. It's cool that you are getting that much exposure, even if you are having to deal with the server fallout! Jake --- Jake McKee Webmaster - BIP (URL) (21 years ago, 8-Dec-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) (URL) site was what I needed to learn CSS. I know you can download the "manual" in several versions, but I don't have the exact URL. Have fun, --Ryan (URL) (21 years ago, 1-Dec-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) I don't mind black on white, but I find white on black a bit too contrasting. IMO, silver on black is better. Cheers, --Ryan (URL) (example of silver on black) (21 years ago, 1-Dec-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) site? I'm not sure I'm ready to become a monk (even assuming I thought myself a good enough perl coder) just to see what you're driving at. In other words, you may want to give a slightly better clue, since you're the one advocating the (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) Any high contrast scheme will tire the eyes, be it black on white or white on black. But there's more: I don't have very good sight, wearing strong glasses (-9.5, -9.75 if that tells you anything). Also only use one eye at a time (anyone of (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) You have to be logged in, at which time you can go to your "user settings" page [1], and select the "theme" from a pulldown list. [1] (URL) Dan Boger dan@peeron.com (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) You may want to give a slightly better clue, it didn't jump out at me where to change stylesheets to get your own style. True, I didn't spend a lot of time digging but you're the one advocating the technique so it's on you to provide the good (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) It is interesting you say that, because that was one of the reasons I chose the colour scheme for the website. I like to do my coding in xterms with black backgrounds and sometimes even green text for the true "days gone by" effect. I suppose (...)   Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) When coding (i.e. 90% of my computer time, I prefer white on black, but on web pages that presentation style does not work for me. (...) Kevin (21 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.publish)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) Pft. You don't need to do that - just need to add a <link> tag (I believe) to the header and you're all set. Don't even need to make it smart - all the pages can point to a css that's really a dynamic file, and that will output content based (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) Jennifer, CSS is super-easy to learn - pretty much just one line of ASP and one or two text files containing a few lines of definitions. How to let the user pick is not something I've had experience with. My home website ((URL) uses a CSS (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) Sounds reasonable, although it would probably be difficult to retrofit, given that the rendered images on the website have black rather than transparent backgrounds and would not look correct. The fact that I know nothing about CSS would make (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) I prefer the light on dark colorscheme. But I'd recommend just having several CSS files lying about, and allow the user to pick which one is used (or even use their own :) But that's just me :) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: JCB JS220 Excavator

(...) The models do take a very long time (many months), and sometimes I can spend days on relatively trivial parts like the upper part of the cab, and then change it to something else entirely later. It's just an incremental thing really, I don't (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.publish)
