Hello everyone!
Last year, Créations Rotule had a LEGO Movie Poster contest which was a total
success. Créations Rotule is no more, but it evolved into MinifigVille.com and
there is a new contest, much like the previous one, starting...NOW !
Below is a transcript of the contest page you'll fing on www.minifigville.com .
Please read it carefully if you intend to participate. They are not very
complez rules and it will take you less than 5 minutes to rad to whole thing.
Here are the results from last year's contest :

So we wish you good luck, may you participate in great numbers !
You may ask your questions here, so I can answer them here and everyone will be
able to read them.

Objective of the 2003-2004 LEGO Movie Posters Contest
We want our collection of posters to grow. The previous contest was a big
success and there are many reasons to think this one will be even better. The
main objective is to make people participate in our project. Our goal is to get
at least 15 new posters, but we think it could be more than that.
Prizes
The winners will be chosen by Terry Prosper, Vincent Pelletier, Samaëlle Simard
and a "Public's choice" prize will be decided via a Lugnet poll. We will choose
the winners by 3 criterias: the beauty of the LEGO poster, the accuracy of the
replica compared to the original and the originality and ingeniousness of the
LEGO replica. Therefore, we strongly suggest you take the longest and hardest
path to realize your project. A simple Minifig's headshot will not have as much
chance to win as a big scenery or a clever use of LEGO parts to make a tough to
make detail. This being said, even the simple Minifig's headshot can win if it's
the perfect solution, so the choice is yours !
There will be 5 prizes. 3 Posters will be chosen by the people aformentionned.
Another one will be chosen by Lugnet's members. The last winner will be chosen
by me, Terry Prosper. This "special" prize will be awarded to the poster that
made the best impression to me in all the posters that didn't win one of the 4
other prizes.
The Prizes are:
For the 3 winners chosen by the panel:
The set 8000 "Pit droid".
The set 6721 "Mosasaurus".
The set 8531 "Pohatu".
For the "Public's choice" winner: The set 8000 "Pit droid".
For the "Special Prize" winner: The sets 1356 "Stunt Man Catapult" and 1357
"Cameraman".
Rules for the 2003-2004 LEGO Movie Posters Contest
People from all ages are eligible. There will be no discrimination whatsoever
regarding who participates. Everyone can enter the contest. No purchases
necessary. A person may enter the contest with as many posters he/she sends us.
The poster must replicate as good as possible the original one, but with LEGO
parts. Photo editing is permitted. CAD programs, drawings, paintings and other
ways to illustrate the poster are all accepted, but the preffered way is yet to
take pictures, as most previously existing posters in our collection are done.
The original poster must be in the movie's original language. The LEGO poster
must also be in the movie's original language.
You may NOT change the movie's title on either the original poster or on the
LEGO replica. The name of actors, directors and other names that may appear on
the poster can be changed. If you decide to change the actor's names, we suggest
you take a look at the posters that were done before to see if the actor already
has a LEGO name. If so, you may use that name if you want.
Movies from all countries accepted. Feature lenghts only, not short films
please.
Parts from other brands are not allowed. This is to give everyone the same
possibilities and limitations. If an important detail of your poster is made
with a part identified as another brand than LEGO, the poster is disqualified.
The contest ends March 1st, 2004, at 00:00am local Montréal time. This means you
can send us your entries on February 29th, but no further. The winners will be
announced a week later.
We reserve the right to refuse any submission we receive for any reason we deem
acceptable. This has happened only once before and it was because the poster
wasn't in the movie's original language.
The Minimum of 15 entries for the contest must be reached for the prizes to be
awarded. This means that if there is les than 15 entries in the contest, the
contest will be cancelled and no prizes will be given.
How to enter the contest
Send your entries via email to terry@minifigville.com. The email MUST include
the original poster in jpg format and the LEGO replica in jpg format in separate
files. Also include your full name, a brief comment on your poster and your full
address so we can send you the prize if you win.
