  Noobie Asks Questions

Hi guys I was inspired by this flying island: (URL) ...to make one of my own. I haven't built it yet due to space constraints, but I do have a few ideas floating around. ;-) Then I got to thinking I might want to try an airship to go along with it. (...)   EOE Ships and Rules

Hello All! I don't know if you have all seen them, but I have added new pictures of my ships to Brickshelf. They can be seen here: (URL) the original bunch of pictures: (URL) I will post pictures of the game in action. We have had some interesting (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jul-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  Pirates at BrickFest 2004

Hey folks, the castle, space, and train guys are all setting up big displays, and we only have one person besides myself indicating they are bringing pirate MOCs. If you plan to bring MOCs for general display, or for use in Evil Stevies Pirate Game, (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: MINIFIG Large Scale Figures!! All 4 of em'

(...) I agree. My favorite part (although the spidey torso is impressive) is the captain's vest. Lots of good detail there. (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.pirates)

Joel, All of your work is fantastic and impressive. I'd like to hear more about how you built the maxifigs. Is it all trial-and-error freehand? I'd love to have one of those Spidermans. :) Corey www.brickitgood.com (20 years ago, 4-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.pirates)

  Re: A couple of sloops

(...) Yay! (...) I've never thought of using those pieces that way, Richie. Most of my small ships use pirate hulls (with the inverse-slope exception, of course) (...) Very nice small ships! I particularly like the way you built their tillers and (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: HMS Kestrel

(...) Funny you should mention that, Wesley - I AM running out of pieces :( I'm building two more ships right now - the first is smaller than the Kestrel, and the second even smaller than the first! It's not just the bricks, either - suitable plates (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: HMS Kestrel

(...) True. Although I made the hull as sturdy as I could, it still needs to be supported at both ends when I lift it (not often!), and even then still flexes somewhat. The main issue with pirate gaming isn't the strength, though, but the weight - (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.pirates)
