 Pirates / 3290 (-20)
  Spanish Armada

To the British and French forces invading the waters of the Imperial Spanish. The Caribbean belongs to the Spanish. Continue to bicker among yourselves, but stay out of my waters. My fleet is well armed and well manned to destroy both at will. Do (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Islanders

(...) Enough to make a privateer up anchor and sail off... except for the 22 females, of course! The Islander king's flagship is pretty impressive - a two decker canoe! Very clever. Cheers Richie (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.pirates)

  Cutters

Hey pirate fans, I finally finished the 9 cutters I have been working on. The pix are presented without crews to show the detail in construction. They are colorful. I used what bricks I had and could get. (URL) let me know what you think. Don (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.pirates)

  Islanders

ok pirate fans, I finally caught pix of the King out with the boys on a float trip. Here are some pix of my Islanders out on the seas. There are 65 Islanders on these boats out of my 186 Islander minifig collection. I also have 22 females. Enjoy: (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: "Mieling" v1.5

Hi Nick, (...) Seems an improvement to me. The added color makes the shape come out more, making your ship more beautiful than it already was. A nice touch with the symbol embedded in the deck. Cheers, Twan. (21 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.boats)

Re: * the big naval battle *

Wow! That's SO cool. The background, the sea, the lighting... a true work of Lego art. What did you use for the sea and lighting? Do you have nay pictures of the setup? Dang, you have too much Lego! :) The site is also great- the blue bubbly effect (...) (21 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: * the big naval battle *

Hi Nathan, the setup you look for was mine, at Legoworld 2002. I started with the idea that I wanted to see (for myself!), and show off to 38.000 people, for once ALL the Pirates sets ever made by Lego. I own them (plus a lot more...) but stacked (...) (21 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: * the big naval battle *

(...) Hi, Nice! The sail shot is good (though I didn't notice it until your last post). The style reminds me of some other pirate pics I've seen, did you do a big display in the Netherlands at the large lego show? If so could you put up the link (I (...)   Re: "Mieling" v1.5

<snip> (...) naa.. if the picture starts out at 240 pixels, then that's really gonna be the best size you can get. you definately won't be able to go up to 400. i know what its like dealing with a subpar camera.. for a while i had to take pictures (...)   Re: "Mieling" v1.5

(...) big but i guess through photoshop i could enlarge them but i don't want to lower the quality any lower. Anyway, I took the pictures late at night and was anxious to go to bed. The lifeboat was Nathan Wells's design. Some good pics of different (...) (21 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.boats)

Re: * the big naval battle *

(...) Yes, I liked that one too. Is it photoshopped (or equivalent), or does it use a holed sail from the RBR? If it is a 'real' holed sail, I think that would qualify as the best use of that part ever! Cheers Richie (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: "Mieling" v1.5

my only complaint: I WANT BIGGER PICTURES!! your pics are only 240 pixels high.. make that at LEAST 400 pixels!! Especially if it is a creation this cool! It looks great but I can't see the details that I know you've put there! also the lighting is (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.boats)

  Re: MOC - HMS Bricklicious

Thanks for your comments! (...) What really bummed me is that I transported it in the back of my Jeep, and it survived the trip PERFECTLY ... not a mast out of place. And then I stuck it atop a bookshelf, and Guy decided to chase after Tippy, and (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: MOC - HMS Bricklicious

(...) I knew I didn't like cats for a good reason ;-) (...) I love the stern design! And the ten (?) gun broadside is quite impressive, too. And when you say expanding a Carribean Cruiser, you do mean *expanding*. It's a pity there isn't a pic (...) (21 years ago, 9-Apr-03, to lugnet.pirates)

  MOC - HMS Bricklicious

Hi, all! I built this ship a few years ago. I picked up a boxed "Carribean Cruiser" from eBay, and began expanding it. I worked on it for about a year, but it was sadly destroyed shortly after I moved (my cat misjudged a jump, and well ... CRASH!). (...) (21 years ago, 9-Apr-03, to lugnet.pirates)
