  Re: Pirate Names

(...) Lubbers! Lubbers! "lobers" makes it look like an encephalic sort of piracy. ;) And, for what it's worth, I'm "Mad Jack Kidd" too. AIIIIEEE! Arrrrr...i'll duel ye fer the name, Pedro. LFB (23 years ago, 27-Oct-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Pirate Names

Arrrrgh, my pirate name be "Bloody James Kidd". The really eerie thing about this is that when I was little and in the process of getting into trouble, I can recall hearing my dad ask my mom "What's that bloody kid up to now?" :-) Andrew, aka (...) (23 years ago, 27-Oct-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Pirate Names

(...) Arrggghhh. I's smells a conspiracy. My name be "Captain Jack Roberts". I sound more like a Captain from the Armada than a pirate. ;) (23 years ago, 27-Oct-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Pirate Names

You shall all refer to me as Iron Sam Flint from now on. :) (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Pirate Names

(...) Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. You're musical, and you've got a certain style if not flair. You'll do just fine. Arr! thanks, "Mad James Cash" (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Pirate Names

(...) Your pirate name is: Red Rum Read Passion is a big part of your life, which makes sense for a pirate. Even through many pirates have a reputation for not being the brightest souls on earth, you defy the sterotypes. You've got taste and (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Oar else what?

(...) How about the combination of a socket wrench and a 1x1 plate with clip? Cheers Richie Dulin (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Oar else what?

(...) I now kind of like an inverse slope V! Ooh yeah, that's the one, baby. I'm using the brown lance connected to brown paddle with grey technic pin; some tan or brown pins would be nice. A wacky idea: since the rower is holding the upright stem (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Oar else what?

(...) Useful things, those. (...) If you have the space, two 1x2 45-deg slopes work well, and make a 1x2 v-shaped opening. Alternately, a 1x4x1 arch also makes a decent oarlock. But if you need a smaller hole or tighter concentration, 1x1 gaps are (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Oar else what?

(...) Wow! Cool! I never imagined a technic pin to join the lance tip and oar! A 1x1 beam doesn't allow much movement of the oar, I'm still looking for oarlocks. I tried a 2x2 turntable, yuck. Maybe just a 1x1 brick opening... (23 years ago, 25-Oct-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Oars!

(...) Have you considered flex straws? That would eliminate the need for extenders, and would also give you lots of attachment options at the oar end. best LFB (23 years ago, 25-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Oars!

This should have been in .pirates: What are some ideas for oars? Oarlocks particuiarly? Surely few get to the Isle without some rowing. A practical ship's oar goes to 10 or 12 long. Lego paddles are too short. I'm trying 1x10 plates, and lances with (...) (23 years ago, 25-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.pirates)
