  Re: Masayuki Ogura...

Wow, that is pretty nice. Makes me want to aquire another copy or two of 6280. So I could have a large white ship in my fleet. I didn't think too much of the base set, but now I see with modifications it can me as nice as the others. -Jason (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Masayuki Ogura...

(...) Well, it might be because he made his announcements in the Japanese equivalent of our Lugnet. I stumbled across it, and interestingly enough those people talk about a lot of the same things we do, only in Japanese. They seemed only slightly (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Masayuki Ogura...

... has posted a very nice sailing ship on brickshelf.. (URL) was kind of surprised he hadn't said anything about it yet. Felix (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Different/exchanged heads

(...) I like my rank-and-file shako-wearing soldiers to have smiley faces. There's something surreal about it that appeals to me. Pirates, on the other hand, never get classic smileys. Hey, if you wanted to be an individualist, ya shouldn't have (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Different/exchanged heads

(...) I really prefer the classic smiley face myself. If people/customizers want to trade for classic smileys, I've got an assortment of decorated heads I'm willing to trade for them. I'll trade various heads (including females) that are appropriate (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Different/exchanged heads

(...) The I.P.B. doesn't have a microphone. She does have some big, hoopy earrings... The Ice Planet visor pieces included the commgear, so the IP faces escaped the ignomy of having microphones painted on. Unfortunately, LEGO hasn't reused any of (...)   Re: Sticker Flags

Yep, 6257, and I'm sure there must be others which have used plain white flags. I was going to collect enough to use them as gun port covers, until I came up with a better solution. On Mon, 19 Mar 2001, Steve Burge (<GAFy8s.AK6@lugnet.com>) wrote at (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Sticker Flags

(...) The small blank flags came with a number of sets as cannon port covers, etc. I don't know where the large blank ones came from but I bought a bunch of them off brickbay not too long ago. Someone should know! Only thing I can think of is that (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.pirates)

If you get this lot (or have it already), I'm sure that plenty of folks will be happy to swap something approprate to you for that Ice Planet Babe head.... (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Different/exchanged heads

(...) Typical British understatement on how remarkable that is. ;) I still have to find something reasonably precious to return the favour of shakos from CheshireFest! Not to worry, sooner or later I will come up with *something*. But yeah, I do the (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Sticker Flags

Hmmm, blank flag underneath, weird. Did blank flags come with any sets at all? Or do I seem to have some genuine lego Pirate Flag Stickers (In which case I'll stick 'em on my BSB as it's the ship that would've most likely had 'em) Steve (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Different/exchanged heads

It's probably more a matter of taste and expediency. For example, I've changed the heads on all of my bearded warrant officers for smileys, to turn them into privates. Oh, I had to add shakos as well :-) But, speaking entirely hypothetically, if I (...) (24 years ago, 18-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates)

  Different/exchanged heads

I have a couple of questions the more informed members may know about. Do builders exchange the smiley face heads from one torso to another? I know this is a dumb question but the reason I ask involves the purchase at auction of the Imperial red and (...) (24 years ago, 18-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates)

Port Block, Port Block Yards and Studs - on the move...

Re: Weekend of LEGO Pirate Games!

(...) Hmm, that would still probably be a 7-8hr drive for me, and would be a significant drive for all the NJ and DC folks also. The only advantage for me is that I could dodge all the cities.
