Visiting the East Coast —Shiri Dori
Hi folks! Well, it has certainly been a while. (Four years, to be precise.) Yesterday, I landed in Boston for a one-month visit to the East Coast. This (following ten amazing days in Holland) is to celebrate my Masters graduation (with honors, yay (...)      Welcome back Shiri! Hope now that you completed grad school, you can get out of your dark ages! I had mine from 2001-2004. But never again! Unfortunately since you left, there has been a Diaspora of Lego groups leaving Lugnet.... the classic space (...) (18 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.people, FTX)

"State of the Nation" —Magnus Lauglo
(...) I'm not so sure I'd be so pessimistic about the overall state of affairs for the AFOL community. Some pretty baddish stuff happened, and lots of stuff has changed, but the future holds lots of potential. After putting in many years of service (...)          Re: Visiting the East Coast —Pete White
(...) Huh ? The Australians went where ? We're still here just quieter. There has been difficulties with newbies posting on lugnet generally. Apart from the Australian train groups there have probably been less Australian get-togethers to talk (...) (18 years ago, 14-Jul-06, to lugnet.people, FTX)

Re: Visiting the East Coast —Fradel D. Gonzales
Hi Shiri . It looks like you will be in the DC region in time for Wamalug's monthly dinner. It is the last Wednesday of every month. It would be great if you could join us. Fradel (18 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.people, FTX)

Re: Visiting the East Coast —Shiri Dori
(...) Yay Wamalug! I hope I can make it. Like I told you by email, Fradel, I would love to come and will try to arrange the schedule so as to fit this in. (In Virginia I'm dependent on my family members who I'm traveling with.) More details about (...) (18 years ago, 9-Jul-06, to lugnet.people, lugnet.org.us.wamalug, FTX)

Re: Visiting the East Coast —Magnus Lauglo
Hello Shiri, Nice to hear from you, and congrats on graduating! The Wamalug dinner will be somewhere very close to a Metro stop, probably in Clarendon, very close to where BrickFest has been in the past. Hope to see you then! cheers Magnus (18 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.people, lugnet.org.us.wamalug, FTX)

Re: Visiting the East Coast —Derek Schin
(...) The who and where are usually up in the air until a day or so beforehand (we have to vary our routine to stay one step ahead of the local MegaBlok faction) but the when is fairly standard--this month it will be July 26th, a Wednesday, and (...)      Thanks Magnus and Derek for your responses. I'll be thrilled to join you for your dinner. However, as things currently stand, I will be in the Baltimore area on Wednesday, and arriving (ironically) to GMU on Friday morning for a while. Are there any (...)      Hello Shiri, Glad to hear from you again, do you still write beautyfull poetry? Your "previous" stuff was pretty good and a pleasure to read, in my opinion. Ten amazing days in Holland... As a born and bread Amsterdam resident i'm curious what (...) (18 years ago, 11-Jul-06, to lugnet.people, FTX)

Re: Visiting the East Coast —Shiri Dori
(...) Hi Manfred, I had a great time in Holland - a great place for art fans, plus my boyfriend and I rode bicycles down to Den Haag (the Hague). That was physically strenuous but very, very fun. We saw Haarlem and the beach city next to it (...) (18 years ago, 18-Jul-06, to lugnet.people, FTX)

Re: Visiting the East Coast —Shiri Dori
Howdy folks, Here I am again. That pesky old-timer who refuses to go away while refusing to actually do anything lego-related! No, that's a lie, I actually built a MOC last year. Never got around to posting about it, ergo, it never existed. So, what (...)
