I had a transaction with Rene in the past (last year?). Although the set was
not exactly in the condition that described before the auction (1-2
substituted pieces and weak hinges, might be out of awareness) the set came
to my desk without any problem. He(she?) lives in Slovakia by the way, not
in Germany.

Hey all, I'm wondering if anyone else has had dealings (positive or • negative)
with Rene Virsik.

I participated in Rene's auction (it was on RTL) during early August (or
perhaps late July, I forget the actual ending date of the auction.) The • name on
the email account posting the auction was actually "Juraj Pilka", while • the
name attached to a separate account was "Rene Virsik".

After the auction concluded, I transferred money to her(his? I know Rene • can be
male or female...) bank account. After a week, I asked my bank whether the
transaction had gone through. It had. I emailed Rene asking for • confirmation,
and she replied that she had recieved the money (August 26th).

Several weeks later, I was growing concerned that the sets had not arrived • yet
(they were coming from Germany, and experience in other auctions had • suggested
about 1-2 weeks for delivery from Germany). I hadn't given up on it • though,
since I wasn't really sure how long it would take...

On September 16th, I recieved an email that she had been on vacation, and • had
apparantly misplaced? my address (she wanted it again). She said she would
email the sets out ASAP. So I re-emailed my address.

A little more than two weeks later (October 2nd), I emailed asking for
confirmation that the sets had been sent. The next day she replied saying • that
the sets had indeed been sent out.

On October 12th, she emailed me again, saying that she had mislabeled the
package with the wrong address, and it had been mailed back to her as
undeliverable.  She said again that she would send it out with the correct
address.

It is now more than 1 month later (November 15th... almost 3 months since • the
end of the auction). I have still not recieved my sets, and I would think • that
1 month is certainly enough delivery time (from the date she said the sets
were re-sent). But perhaps I am wrong. I don't know.

In the meanwhile, I hate giving out bad reports on people... so this isn't • a
confirmed "bad rap". I haven't given up hope that my sets may arrive • suddenly
in the mail, but I'd like to know if anyone else out there has delt with • Rene,
and what sort of dealings they were. I know Rene reads Lugnet (I've seen a
couple of posts from her), so perhaps she can also provide some references • or
something too.

Thanks,
DaveE
