But it’ts difficault to use in a 6wide train roof if you want roof detail.

So build 8 wide. Problem solved:-)

Or use jumper plates and build your train roof in a 7 wide, giving you one row of studs in the middle.

You probably dont’ even need jumper plates, as the 1x3 roof bricks can just be placed at 1/2 stuf offset on standard placed studs.
