  Rollin' on '20s

(...) Hey Rob, evidently LEGO was listening to you (and watching MB Nano car kits flying off the shelves) because the latest micro-ish Racers kits (esp. 8643 and 8644) have very nice large diameter aluminium rims and low profile tires. The kits (...) (21 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.parts.custom, FTX)

Re: Electrical pick-up for 9v track

(...) The patina is an acid of sorts that reacts with the copper. Not sure of the end result would be to conductivity. I imagine it would be reduced some but not totally impeded. Mike (22 years ago, 8-Oct-04, to lugnet.parts.custom, lugnet.trains)

Re: Electrical pick-up for 9v track

(...) Not sure, but you can purchase the copper tape untinned as well. (...) I'd thought of this. Scince I already plan to make solid metal wheels, I was thinking of drilling the center wheel larger on one side, and using an insulating insert. And (...)   Re: Electrical pick-up for 9v track

(...) This looks a great idea and much simpler than making new metal flanges (as in the 9v motor) I don't actually run my stuff very much/far to I think it would be hardwearing enough for my purposes although I would imagine the 'round the flange' (...)   Re: Electrical pick-up for 9v track

(...) Martin, Thanks, I've tested the mods on a couple of different track layouts, and they seem to work well enough. Although there is a bit of flicker for the power pickup. I'm hoping the solid wheels take care of this. Yes I hope to offer these (...) (22 years ago, 7-Oct-04, to lugnet.parts.custom, lugnet.trains)

  Electrical pick-up for 9v track

I recently purchased a couple of cars form my Santa Fe engine. And I decided to install lights in the end car. To power the lights I ran a wire from the egine. But I eventually plan build a train consisting of at least 3 engines and 6 cars. And I (...) (22 years ago, 7-Oct-04, to lugnet.parts.custom, lugnet.trains)

  GP-38 MOC

I know that TLC is coming oout with a BNSF version of this. And that Jake has a version in his train book. But I wanted to do one myself. I had started by building the one in Jake's book.   Re: Help needed: my custom beards

Hi Isaac, I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my question! (...) (...) Hi Darrell, I suppose you already know that the cost of a metallic mould can vary depending on the complexity of the shape of the objects, but at the very least it'll still put you back by a few thousands US$, right?
