Re: If you could wish for any single Lego element, what would it be?

(...) This topic came up a few months back on the MichLUG mailing list and I modeled up a few of the wish parts. Curved Parts: (2 URLs) Gothic Arches: (2 URLs) Personally, I'm rather fond of the gothic arches, so I'd have to pick the 1x6x3 arch as (...)   Re: Does it exist?

(...) I had forgotten all about that piece, though I once asked for help in identifying it. (URL) it out!> Thanks for your input. Dave! (21 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.parts, FTX)

  Re: Does it exist?

(...) Good call! That wasn't quite what I was envisioning, but I guess it qualifies. For that matter, one might make a half-hearted case that the "Space Positioning Rockets" might sort of partially qualify, with the one-stud-plate overhang. (...)   Re: Does it exist?

There's also the 1 x 20 x 2/3 rack piece. Not really a brick, but it is two thirds the height of one (URL) of the newest parts is the 1 x 1 x 2/3 slope (URL) again, not a brick though! Richard.   Re: Does it exist?

(...) Would you count the classic Space camera/jet thingy? It's part #4595, and its main body is 2/3 the height of a brick. [LDrawPart 4595:0] Steve (21 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.parts, FTX)

Re: If you could wish for any single Lego element, what would it be?

(...) The choice of the part itself is easy. I've long wanted to see this piece produced: (URL) The choice of color is more tricky. My first answer is red, since that's a color I tend to use a lot. However, in terms of overall usefulness (to a wide (...) (21 years ago, 20-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.parts, FTX)

  Re: Does it exist?

Since Lego plates are each a third of the height of a standard brick, then two of these would account for two thirds. I am not aware, however, of a brick half the height of the standard brick. -- (URL) - Build Robots (...) (21 years ago, 20-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.parts)

  Re: Does it exist?

(...) Duplo plates are half the height of the standard Duplo brick. Does that count? :-P -Duane (21 years ago, 20-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.parts, FTX)

  Does it exist?

Has LEGO ever produced a brick that’s two-thirds or half the height of a standard 2x4 brick? Just wondering. Dave! (21 years ago, 20-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.parts, FTX)

  Re: Macaroni Brick Patterns

(...) The superficial similarity is striking. (...) I don't know that much about tiling patterns, but I can see that all my LEGO patterns so far have been based on a certain pattern of bricks being turned by 90° angles. And I also wonder if someone (...) (21 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.parts, FTX)

Re: different types of bricks in different years?

(...) As Clark stated, dating Lego can be very tricky. Old molds were often used at the same time as new molds. TLG rarely discarded them if there was still life left in them. Here is a list that shows major brick changes (between Cellulose Acetate (...) (21 years ago, 1-Apr-05, to lugnet.parts)

Re: different types of bricks in different years?

(...) Yes, there are many smaller variations in brick molds than what is shown on Peeron. That site only tracks 'functional' differences in the brick. That is changes that effect the way you use bricks to build things. Many of the smaller mold (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-05, to lugnet.parts)

different types of bricks in different years?

Perhaps somebody can help me out. A few weeks ago I bouht an amount of lego for my kids and myself. Some of it we will keep, but it is too much so we plan to sell part of it. We are in the process of sorting it all out, according to specifications (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-05, to lugnet.parts)

(...) Matt, I've incountered the later two at about a year ago. I was mounting 4 in black of these on axels, and one was rotated 45 degrees. I never checked for part numbers. Mat (21 years ago, 23-Mar-05, to lugnet.parts, FTX)

Re: 3 versions of 30361 2x2x2 Robot Body

Matt, Do you have pics of the other types? Meanwhile, I'm going to search my stuff (or rather, my 9 year old will do it for me) to see how many I have of each type. James Wilson Dallas, TX (21 years ago, 23-Mar-05, to lugnet.parts, FTX)

  3 versions of 30361 2x2x2 Robot Body

I haven't seen it noted anywhere before, but there seem to be 3 different molds used to make functionally different versions of this part, the 2x2x2 round robot body (R2-D2 body): (URL) The difference is in how the center hole at the bottom of the (...)
