  1x1 round plate with clip?
 
Lokking at Nasher's awesome robots from Silent Running, I noticed the "hand" on the blue robot looked odd to me. (...) Yes and no. A year back or so, someone was asking if TLC had ever made 1x1 plates in orange. I could not find any, but I did try some LEGO-modification by taking a 1x1 plate with clip-lite and very carefully trimming off the clip-lite with an (...) (...) Of course you're correct. I guess I thought of all the parts that allow 180 degree connections as "hermaphrodite", but realize now that's not the accurate term.
