Here's an idea. You might want to look into...

They do T-Shirts, Coffee Mugs, and Mouse Pads over the internet for you. All
you do is upload a Picture (.gif, .jpg, .bmp) and you set the price (Over a
certain amount). I think starting prices for T-Shirts is $10.99 and you set
any price over that and you get that money or you can set it at cost if you
don't want the money.
I realise you know someone so that might work but the great thing about this
set up IMHO is that there is no minimum order, you aren't stuck with a bunch of
unsold shirts, people who can't attend can get a shirt right over the internet,
and it's easy. A downside is that it is a bit expensive for the shirts but to
me the convenience is the big upside.
Just an idea so don't shoot me :-).
