Two weeks till January meeting

In a bit over two weeks SMART will have it's first anniversary meeting at
the Bellevue Library!
If you haven't started on your drag racer yet, I suggest now's a good time
to do so. Since I haven't had a lot of feedback from anyone, and my own
first attempt was way too easy, I've changed the lengths of the drag race to
be a 16 foot distance, with a 6 inch stopping distance. (See my previous
post http://news.lugnet.com/org/us/smart/?n=72 for more information,
including a description of the tape used for starting and finish lines). Of
course, if I hear an overwhelming chorus (or even a duet or trio!) of
complaints, we can change these distances.
At our meeting, on January 26th, besides the current mini-challenge, we'll
discuss the next mini challenge, (anyone with ideas yet for an easily built
half-pipe?) and also the up-coming BricksWest conference in Legoland.

| First of all, this is another mini-reminder about building your drag-racer for the SMART meeting on the 26th. You've got less than two weeks. Mainly, however, I wanted to mention our group's participation is for BricksWest. BricksWest is a (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.us.smart)
