Last reminder about this Saturday's SMART meeting. We'll be meeting at the
Seattle Center, in the Centerhouse during Robothon 2007. The meeting starts at
12 noon. This month's meeting will be a BrickHeap Wars event. It's a competition
where you build (in a team) a robot for a specific task given out at the
beginning of the meeting. There will probably be room for another impromptu team
or two to start up, so even if you haven't joined a team yet, feel free to show
up at noon, or maybe a bit earlier, so you can form a team.
Team leaders: don't forget to bring the electronic elements your team will need:
a MINDSTORMS RCX or NXT, motors, sensors, wires and batteries, plus a computer
(laptop strongly recommended) with your favourite programming environment, and
either IR tower or USB cable, as needed. You may only use standard LEGO sensors,
including the HiTechnic sensor line that is available through LEGO Shop-at-Home.
All other LEGO pieces will be provided.
The meeting will take place in one of the upstairs rooms in the Centerhouse at
the Seattle Center. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
