Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA

(...) If you can't get enough cylinders, I have a pair of the old lift gates from SET 4539. They are a single piece with a weight at the end, and work rather well with the micro motors. Tom D (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Monorail Track for the train layout

(...) That would be great!!! I think 15 should do it, that should be enough to cover what I am missing, and have a few extra in case anything unforseen comes up. I have plenty of curved, and two switches, as well as a bunch of short straight, so we (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

(...) Yes, the 1x4, dual-bulb, flash-when-you-rever...e-polarity lights. Preferably in black, because this looks best in the model. I got the four that I own by purchasing UFO sets (forget the set number offhand... 6000-series IIRC) at a KB Toy (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Any Interesting Cars need building?

(...) The "Aquarium" car sounds great. On that line there is always room for a Circus Train and/or Cars. Lots of these are just cages on wheels. As for getting power from the track to the car it is possible. There is a power connection on the Train (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Monorail Track for the train layout

(...) I think you're talking about the old 4.5v train tracks-- these came in grey in <set:6970> see: (URL) ) They're 1 stud wide and have 1 toothed edge facing upward. The monorail tracks (as I believe) are roughly 4? studs wide with a ridge which (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Any Interesting Cars need building?

Hi All, I've got a whole slieu of train wheelbases and couplings and such, and I'd like to make a car or two for the show (By the way, Eric, I've got one building already - it needs one baseplate, you can put it anywhere. It's a 2.5 story white (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Monorail Track for the train layout

(...) Shaun, I think what you have is old 4.5v train track. I think (but I don't have any so I don't know) the monorail track is 2 wide (maybe even wider) with a rail down the middle. Eric Kingsley (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Monorail Track for the train layout

(...) I have two pieces, I think. Are these the long gray 1xn (not sure how long) pieces that are gray, smooth on top, except for a single raised ridge that runs along its length? And the ridge has some sort of serrating on it? If I'm anywhere near (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA

(...) Well I am not going to be much help with the Crossings. I have no micro motors and no flashing lights. I have some parts to make the arms but those are probably the easiest parts to get at the moment. I do have one of the Gray ramp pieces if (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Monorail Track for the train layout

Hello all, I know this is probably a long shot, but does anybody have any monorail track that we could use for the train layout?   Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA

(...) If you mean the 1x4 double flashing type, I have at least one black one here. I don't recall what set had them, but I have a feeling they're not around any more. I'm starting to think here.. Maybe there are other things I can lend out. I'd (...) (24 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA

(...) Suz, That would be great! I am in need of three motors. I believe we will be having a NELUG meeting before the show, if you could bring them there it would be great. Otherwise, let me know and I will get them somehow. According to the layout (...) (24 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)
