I don't want to rekindle an old argument, or to start something I can't
finish, but...

Pshaw! You mean "using the brick" like LEGO does with their printed bricks,
and their page of stickers included with nearly every model? Or "forcing
creativity" like LEGO does when they create new pieces (or worse, POOPs)
just to fill a particular function? <ironic grin>

I applaud the use of NELUG's very clean looking stickers. There's no way you
could make a U-Haul truck using just bricks (not at minifig scale, at least)
and have it be instantly recognizable as such to everyone who sees it.

I am curious as to the method used create and attach their stickers. And
come to think of it, I should think that images printed on glossy paper
attached by rubber cement would be an excellent, non-permanent solution. The
glossy paper would make it more professional-looking, plus the cement
wouldn't bleed through after a few months like with plain paper.

When I get around to trying it, I'll let you know if it works (But don't
read it, Kevin... ;-).

Your guys' show layout was very sharp looking. I really like all the
baseplates. It really pulls the layout together. Nice work all around!

Keep it up! We all look forward to seeing your next show!

I'd say you guys did a great job for your first train show!
I loved the buildings and liberal use of tiles.

The only thing that bothered me was the unofficial stickers.
They were nicely done, but by forcing yourselves to use
just the brick encourages creativity.  Like the Bar/motel sign.
That was really cool!

The show was a blast!  Unfortunately I wasn't able to contribute significant
amounts of brick, but perhaps next time.  The models on the layout were
amazing, and the layout was a hit at the show!!
