Oops - Shell Stickers!

To All,
As many of you have seen, I put up the stickers I have so far, I also have a
newer one with Shell Logos for the pumps, etc. I am planning on a big Shell
sign with the Shell logo, the price per gallon, and the little strip for
specials and th elinke, which will say, "LEGO sets are here!" : )
My wife Lynn asked me if she could help, and since I am fumble fingers
anyway (Larry and I are still competing for that crown), I asked her to put
up the stickers for the pump area for started. The Shell letters in Red came
in beautiful on the awning, and the Turn Off Engine and the no smoking
labels were great, but when we got to the pumps, oops! The black on the
pumps were fine, but the black shown up fading the yellow a great deal, as
did the yellow printing for formula Shell for the bottom of the pumps. : (
My solution will be to print it out on White labels, and cut it so no white
shows up. The clear Avery labels do great, espeically the return address
ones, 8660, for that. you need to press it down a little, but after that, it
is fine. I have some big plans for these coming up! : )
Back to finishing the diesel pumps, ice machine, dumpster, and shed!!!

What I hear is that there are printers (ALPS printer is one brand I have heard of) that print white underneath colors on clear sticker paper so that it prevents bleedthrough of color from below. That makes for an expensive printer I suspect as (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)
