    Indy 5.00 rule clarification —John Brost
   I think this has been permitted in the past, but I can't remember if we decided if it shouldn't be encouraged or not... The Indy 5.00 rules state that "The bumpers must be perpendicular to the robot's direction of motion, not 'angled'." Does this (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

     (...) Definitly, though you can't see it by that picture, that is why I used this piece (URL) the wing. I think I'll add a couple big "coffee can" exhaust tips coming out of the bumper tonight.    (...) I think the internet was to keep people from using a wedge-shapped bumper to push people out of the way.
