(...) "It's on my calendar", which is akin to "the check is in the mail." I am planning to attend; six months from now, who knows what will happen. My NXT is fucntioning, so that is good. (...) The diaper boxes are around 4 years old, and no longer contain diapers. Most of the NXT boxes are also empty. Will you be joining us at Brickworld in June? Steve (18 years ago, 31-Dec-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Rock Crawling

We had a small gathering to test out stuff for our upcoming remote control Rock Crawling event at Brickworld. As usual, John showed up with a really cool looking truck, with a roll cage & fancy front end... (URL) the roll cage was destroyed when the (...) (18 years ago, 31-Dec-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

(...) As usual, very cool. I look forward to seeing what you come up with next. This week, I expect to get together with Bryan to work on our Gamma Rex (3xNXT Walking robot), but on Saturday (Dec 30) we're all getting together for Rock Crawling. I (...)   Rock Crawler

After a visit with Steve & Bryan last weekend, and being completely disasatisfied with my prototype rock crawler, I began a whole new design. My inspiration... Monster trucks. So I built a 4-wheel drive, 4-wheel steer vehicle with 4-link suspensions (...) (18 years ago, 22-Dec-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: Rock Crawling...

(...) Steve - I like the idea of having this at Brickworld. If the hotel will allow it, I think the perfect place for it will be in the hallway in front of the ballroom.   Rock Crawling...

I have an idea for Rock Crawling. Let's take it to Brickworld. We can make it an event (but not really a competition). The general idea is to drive a remote-control LEGO vehicle through the "course", which could be made of just about anything we can (...) (18 years ago, 11-Dec-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

(...) This IS enough fun to continue. So, continue. I'll suggest robots are no bigger than a 48x48 baseplate. So, the course must be big (wide) enough for such a robot to pass through.
