IndyLUG participated in the Parent & Child Exposition this past weekend (Feb.
28-29) at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Part of our setup included a
space/moonbase themed layout. The space pictures can be seen on Brickshelf
here: Space layout
after moderation. The Space area included...
Brian Darrows awesome Blacktron Intellegence Agency,
Several Moonbase
modules,
Plenty of Classic Space sets,
And plenty of our own original creations
Participating builders for the Space area were: Steve McDonough (Space
area coordinator) Brian Darrow David Gregory John Kyle Andrew Matlock
Thomas Coleman
This Space layout showed us how far we can actually
stretch out collections of large gray and crater baseplates. It also gave us
a chance to publicly show how sweet Classic Space is, since it often goes
unappreciated by the younger generations.
Comments are welcome!

This was tons of fun to do and turned out even better then I hoped. The people
who were running the show gave us everything we needed. They put us right in
front of the entrance so we were the first thing people saw. We tried to get as
much movement as possible on the layout. On the moonbase we had a Blacktron
themed train, a monorail, a spinning radar dish, and lots of blinking lights. We
had 14 moonbase modules and some stand alone bases.
Chayme Higgins and Jeremy Spurgen also contributed to the moonbase.
