We only have a couple of days before it's time to set up everything at the
Fair Grounds.  Brian Darrow has already posted this, but here's the GATS
schedule again in case anyone forgot:

Set-up:
Friday Jan. 2 -- 2:30pm to 7:30pm
Saturday Jan 3 -- 7:00am to 9:30am

Show hours:
Saturday Jan 3 -- 11:00am to 5:00pm
Sunday Jan 4 -- 11:00am to 5:00pm

Tear down:
Sunday Jan 4 -- 5:00pm to 9:00pm

People have mentioned before that the setup time on Friday is shorter.  I'm sure
we'll be able to get all the setup done though.  We're using almost the same
layout as before.  A few MOC's will change, but the number of tables and their
relative placement will be the same.  The problem I see is that there is an hour
and a half gap (9:30 to 11:00 AM) on Saturday between when early setup ends and
the show begins.  Hopefully they won't kick us out for an hour and a half.
We also need to decide when we're all going to meet at Steve Martin's barn.
If you can fit all of your LEGOS into your vehicle, and you still have room,
please stop by to help bring something.  If you can fit all of your LEGOS into
your vehicle, and you CAN'T fit anything more in, please come anyway to help
load tables and stuff.  If your car's full and Steve's place is totally out of
the way for you on your way to the Fair Grounds, and your back's out and you
have a sprained ankle and you just came out of surgery the day before... then
just head straight to the Fair Grounds--we'll let it slide.
The next thing is deciding if we should rent a U-Haul.  I think it would be
really bad to impose upon the members who have vans or trucks and depend on them
to haul all of the big stuff.  If people are willing to volunteer their
vehicles, that's great.  However, if those people have to make multiple trips on
Friday, I think it would be better to rent a U-Haul.  I have never rented one,
so I don't know how easy it is.  If we can walk into the rental center and pick
one up right away, then I'm all for it.  If they have to have tons of papers
filled out and credit cards and junk, then maybe not.  Oh, and if they need to
do any kind of background check, don't list me as a driver. ; )
Last but not least, do we want to bring any kind of meal or snacks to the
setup?  I tend to get hungry for supper before 7:30.
    See everyone Friday,
        David "Fuzzy" Gregory

(...) From experience, the gap is still set-up time. 9:30am is the deadline for claiming your tables before they either give them away or sell them to someone on the waiting list. You can set-up from 7am straight to 11am. Russell BayLTC/BayLUG (20 years ago, 1-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

I plan to be there Friday to load, but won't have my van. I probably will have it Sunday for tear down, though. Don't think I'll be there Saturday. What time? -Brian A. (20 years ago, 1-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)
