I'd like to apologize for the confusion. I emailed everyone on the list
about a week before the site was announced. I heard back from several people.
One or two asked to be removed. All the other responses were positive. One
email bounced.
I meant the email to be an opt-out route for anyone who wasn't interested. I
only published imformation which was already available on LUGNET. In fact,
that is where I got all of the information on the initial members page. Some
people have sent me URLs to include and at least one updated email address.
I gave a lot of thought about who to include. My intent was to only
consolidate the list of people from LUGNET. I was concerned about offending
people by omission. I figured that including anyone who had "announced"
themself by posting to LUGNET was a fair way to not miss anyone and have them
feel slighted.
I realize I should have used an opt-in system. So, I'm going to switch to
that. Everyone who hasn't specifically spoke to me will be coming off. I'll
email those people to let them opt-in again.
Again, I'd like to apologize for any confusion or discomfort I caused.
Thanks,
Gino A...

A quick email to me would have gotten a positive response, but (...) (24 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.bloc)
