That's a good way to put it. I've probably stepped over the line some in this
discussion,

For what it's worth, I do think that you've been annoying about your notes, • but
no one of them was bad...it's just that you're harping on the issue.  :-)

Well, I am trying to steer the discussion to something more constructive, but
perhaps it's a lost cause.

though I am of course
free to state that I wouldn't belong to a group which had policies similar to
NELUGs.

Is that true?  I suspect that if the NELUG members really approach unanimity • on
this, then there won't be enough momentum to have a second active club in
Boston.  That means that if you lived in that area, there would be a nice
active club for AFOLs and you wouldn't go?  I'd go.  I'm not in favor of their
rule, but I'd go and have a good time.  And I'd express my views to people in
person and maybe build positive change.

From the outside it's hard to say. It is something I feel strongly about. I
also earlier this year started down a path of withdrawing from Lugnet and
possibly even going so far as to exit the hobby. Perhaps making a stand on
this is absurd, but I grew up in a religion which looks for its members to not
just talk the talk, but walk the walk. As I am understanding more of what that
means, I am trying to live up to those ideals more (and I have to give Larry a
hand for contributing to my growth here, I am starting to come to the
conclusion that my religion actually demands a Libertarian outlook on life,
not a Liberal one).
