  NXT for $200

Inspired by the gentleman selling NXTs for $200 (I didn't have a checkbook with me or I probably would have got one), I did some searching on the web (I think I used Froogle) and found them for $199.99 from A Child's Delight, a toy store in (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: January 2007 SMART meeting notes

(...) Thank you. (...) This robot was just finished before the meeting so the ears went on but I never got a chance to program them. The idea is just as you describe and I did try use the View feature to see how directional the sound sensor is. My (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  Re: ULUG Train Show

Brian & All, (...) It is always nice to that interaction with the crowd, even if it is the 50th time you heard it. : ) (...) It is great to have some interactivity like that in a layout - I need to do more of that in ours. (...) The most important (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.us.ulug)

  Re: ULUG Train Show

(...) Brian- Congrats on your first show. It's a lot of fun to put your stuff out in front of a crowd for the first time. I especially liked the decorative archway, dino museum, bridge, fishing hole, and mech. Good stuff in any layout! Small idea: Be (...) (...) I like Gus' line-following dog. How well do the ears work? Could it turn towards sounds? Steve (19 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  ULUG Train Show

Over the weekend ULUG (Utah LUG) participated in "The Ophir, Tintic and Western" Train Show at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah. We are a newer LUG (under 6 months) with 9 active members and this is our first Train show as a LUG. We were pleased to (...)   Re: Unit LNE of the dinochrome brigade (Was: Rock Crawling)

The second set of arms on Mike's robot gives it better mobility. They make its overall tread length much longer, so it can treat stairs like a ramp instead of, well, stairs, and that makes it faster at climbing them. The arms also let it raise the (...)   Re: Unit LNE of the dinochrome brigade (Was: Rock Crawling)

(...) Ha! Methinks you underestimate the talents (not to mention obsession) of the other folks in this event <grin>. Seriously, thanks for the kind words, and I'm very happy with it, but now the rest of you know yet another way to try to do it. Go (...)   Re: Unit LNE of the dinochrome brigade (Was: Rock Crawling)

(...) well, in all honesty I shamelessly implemented a solution I had already known about: PackBot by iRobot. I won't remotely claim the idea originated with me, as it didn't. I was inspired by the "real world" here. That said, I'd not run across (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)
